Types of measurement
There are two types of measurement which are called…
1. Metric system or the SI (Système Internationale or International System)
2. US standard system
Remember: in all types of measurement we have three main units.
Length, weight, capacity
We call these three units differently in the metric system and the US standard system
The metric system
In the metric system, we always follow the powers of ten because it is easy to remember and convert.
In the metric system, we take a base unit like meter, liter, and gram. Then add standard prefixes to make a unit bigger or smaller than the base unit.

- kilo
