What is Space Exploration

Space exploration is the proses of going into outer space for discovering new planets, asteroids and trying to find life as we know it.

 

History of space exploration

until the 16th Centaury people thought the earth was in the center and the planets were revolving around the earth, but nicolus Copernicus Made a theory that The sun was in the center and planets were orbiting it in perfect circles. Still people did not believe it even after Galilei Galileo Confirmed it. Later Johannes Kepler confirmed the the planets were not orbiting the sun in perfect circles but in oval-ish shapes.

After the WW|| America and Russia wanted to show power by going to space where the Russia people  released a satellite called sputnik one but soon after in the year 1961 the Russians launched the first person into space. and America wanted to show their power too so they launched a man to the moon with apollo 11 which landed in 1969!  Later on these people wanted to know about the other planets so Nasa launched 2 un-man probes Voyager 1&2  which are the most successful  and still work to this day. Even later Russians Proved that people could live in space for longer time by launching a space station in the year 1986 which operated till 1998 on the same year The International space station was launched. after that the most concentrated planet was mars so people sent rovers and probes to discover life which the most popular ones are The CURIOSITY rover from 2012 and the  Perseverance in 2020…

 

Importance of Space Exploration

• It helps us to spread out in to the universe
• It helps us know about interstellar disasters coming to earth like a meteor shower
