Order Of Operations-BODMAS/PEDMAS

Order Of Operations

Introduction

Let us say we give two people a equation to answer which is 2+4×5 the first person solve it starting with the addition then the multiplication which is equal to 2+4(first)=6×5(second)=30
on the other hand the second person start with the multiplication and then does the addition which is equal to  2(second)+4×5(first)=20=2

but you might wonder how did the same equation done in different ways make a different outcome. then how will we know which is the correct answer. This is where the BODMAS/PEDMAS rule comes in, so if you follow this rule you will get the correct answer.  Here goes the rule!…

BODMAS/PEDMAS  rules

First before we know the rules we need to know what the full form of BODMAS/ PEDMAS…

BODMAS

Brackets
Of
Division
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction

PEDMAS

Parenthesis
Exponents
Division
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction

the above listing of PEDMAS/BODMAS means you should do any equation in brackets first like (4+5) etc. and then you do exponents as in squares like that as in… 2³ etc.  after that in order comes division and multiplication and after that comes addition and subtraction. to get this clear let me show you an example.
Note: any equation addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & exponents any thing in brackets is done first.
Note: Equations are always done left to right when cases like this occur
2+2-1=3

let us say that we

have the equation (4+5)+2²-4×3=?

So first we do the equation in the brackets according to BODMAS which is 4+5=9 then we do 2² which is equal to = 4. then we again 4×5=20 again according to BODMAS now we do the addition and subtractions now the equation is simplified to= 9+4-12 so we now do the equation from left to right

9+4-12=1
